Technics ST-8055K AM/FM tuner! This very rare tuner was only sold in Europe . It features some very high-end features for it's 1979-1980 production period including full digital tuning, 50kHz tuning in FM mode, 9kHz tuning in AM mode, worldwide (100V-240V, 50/60Hz) power, & battery backed up presets. It is quite a sensitive tuner in a small stylish package so it will be sure to work great in your vintage audio collection! Since this was a European model,
an adaptor for connecting to US wall outlets will be included
.
The unit is
FULLY FUNCTIONAL
! I've used both AM & FM tuning and both lock onto stations without issue. Stereo decoding works as expected. All the face buttons work as they should. The
fluorescent
display is bright and evenly lit. The Quartz light works as expected.

The unit is in
GREAT CONDITION
! The main issue are some deep scratches on the top of the unit. If placed into an A/V stack, the scratches can't
be seen. There is also a scratch on the display plate but is not distracting. Also, the battery compartment was neutralized & cleaned of battery leakage. It was pretty bad, but I think it cleaned up quite well. Regardless, there is still some corrosion present that I could not remove.
